Day 01: Shanghai-Chengdu-Lhasa-Tsedang
Altitude: 3,658m-3, 100m.Hotel:Yarlung River Hotel (3-star)
Meal: dinner
Depart from Shanghai in the morning, fly to Lhasa via Chengdu. You will be greeted by our guide at the airport and get transferred to Tsedang for about 1.5 hours’ drive. Enjoy the great scene of Yarlung Tsanpo Valley along the way.
Day 02: Tsedang-Samye-Tsedang
Altitude: 3,100m.Est. Distance:70km, about 1.5 hours’ drive.
Road Conditions: mostly tar road.
Hotel: Yarlung River Hotel (3-star)
Meal: breakfast, lunch, dinner
Depart from Tsedang in the morning, and visit Tibet’s very first monastery Samye Monastery and the oldest palace Yongbulakang. Get back to Tsedang in late afternoon.
Day 03: Tsedang-Yamdroktso-Lhasa
Altitude: 3,100m-4,441m-3,658m.Est. Distance: 330km, about 6 hours’ driving.
Road conditions: mostly tar road.
Hotel: Gang Gyan Hotel (3-star)
Meal: breakfast, lunch, dinner
Leave Tsedang in the morning, drive up the winding roads to the top of Kambala mountain, and view the dazzling holy lake Yamdroktso. Get to Lhasa in the afternoon, visit Sera Monastery which is famous for its ‘Buddhism Scriptures Debating’.
Day 04: Lhasa
Altitude: 3,1658.Hotel: Gang Gyan Hotel (3-star)
Meal:breakfast, lunch, dinner
Visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkhore Street. Have a rickshaw ride in the Old Town for about 20 minutes.
Day 05: Lhasa-Namtso
Altitude: 3,658m-4, 718m.Est. Distance: 240km, about 6 hours’ driving.
Road Conditions: tar road, grassland and winding mountain road.
Accommodation: Guesthouse
Meal: breakfast, lunch, dinner
Depart from Lhasa in the morning, drive through the vast Dangxumg Grassland and clime over the 5,150m Nagenla mountain. The first sight of this Sky Lake Namtso leaves you in awe. Enjoy the sunset by the lake.
Day 06: Namtso-Lhasa
Altitude:4, 718m-3,658m.Est. Distance: 240km, about 6 hours’ driving.
Road Conditions: winding mountain road, grassland and tar road.
Hotel: Gang Gyan Hotel (3-star)
Meal: breakfast, lunch, dinner
Watch the sunrise at Namtso. Drive back to Lhasa, en route visit the Yam Ba Jing Hot Spring. Farewell dinner will be companied by Tibetan folk performance.
Day 07: Lhasa-Chengdu-Shanghai
Meal: breakfastGet transferred to the airport in the morning, fly back to Shanghai via Chengdu. End of the tour.
